Happy Birthday, Jenna!

For Jenna's birthday this year, I asked her to answer three questions in hopes that these questions would allow her to share her heart and way of thinking in a different way so you all could get to know my favorite person a little better. Here are her answers :)

What is the best decision you've ever made?

The best decision I ever made was to finally end a previous relationship. I know it seems so minor but finally ridding myself of something I knew in my heart didn't make me happy anymore led me to so many amazing things to follow. I am a little sister and by nature, I tend to stick with what's comfortable to me and what I know. I was so unhappy in my relationship but I was so scared to give it up because I didn't know what life would be like without this person. When I finally ended my 5 year relationship with my middle school sweetheart, I found myself. One enormous door closed, but so many opened. I learned to live on my own, I made new friends, I went on new adventures... all things I would have never done within that specific relationship. I learned so much about myself and who I wanted to be in that time that the only thing I regret about the situation was not doing it sooner.

What is the best piece of advice you've ever received?

The best piece of advice I've ever gotten was from my dad - who constantly told me growing up (and now) to do whatever makes me happy, and to not care what other people think. I think this piece of advice has really inspired me to follow my dreams of owning a business and to just always have confidence in myself that I can accomplish whatever goals I set for myself, as long as I put the work in to get there. He's always told me that there is no dream that is too big to dream - as long as you heart is in it, you'll get there.

What is your favorite life hack that you can share with our friends?

My favorite life hack is probably one that relates to shopping/fashion. I am always trying to get multiple looks or wears out of 1 item so when I am shopping, I try to find items that look good front and backwards. I love taking a low cut sweater and wearing it backwards as a low back and high neckline instead. I've worn plenty of my skirts as shirts and vice versa, or reversing a dress to have the zipper in the front for an added accessory. Sure, it doesn't always work for every piece of clothing, but when you find an item that works multiple ways, that's a win in my book!

Jenna is a very thoughtful, resourceful and creative person and brings so much to our little sister team of two. I hope you'll join me in wishing her a very happy birthday today, I know I am sure glad she was born :)

Love you sister!
