Festive Recipes for Peanut Butter Lovers!

You all know we aren't shy about our love for peanut butter so we thought we'd round up a few of our favorite recipes from around the internet that we love to make or plan on trying this year! Enjoy :)

Chocolate Peanut Butter Balls

I've made these for years and for many different events and holidays because they are so simple to put together and require no baking!

  • 1 1⁄2 cups powdered sugar

  • 1⁄2 cup creamy peanut butter

  • 3 tablespoons butter, softened

  • 16 oz dipping chocolate

  • Holiday sprinkles!

Stir together powdered sugar, peanut butter and butter until well mixed.

Shape peanut butter mixture into 1 inch balls, placing them on a baking sheet covered with waxed paper. If they are too warm/soft to roll, stick the bowl in the fridge for 10-15 minutes or so to chill.

Put the peanut butter balls in the fridge for 20 minutes uncovered to dry and chill and melt the dipping chocolate on the stove while you wait.

Drop balls one at a time in melted chocolate. Using a fork, remove from the chocolate, letting excess chocolate drip off. Place each ball back on the waxed paper. While they are still wet, sprinkle on your choice of holiday sprinkles and then let them stand to dry.

Peanut Butter Hot Chocolate

We posted a photo from Center Cut Cook of this Slow Cooker Hot Chocolate last week because we are dying to try it! It's definitely on our weekend menu :)

  • 2/3 cup creamy peanut butter

  • 2 cups heavy cream

  • 4 cups milk

  • 2 cups chocolate (I used semisweet)

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • Whipped cream

  • Mini chocolate peanut butter cups (optional but fun!)

Add the peanut butter to the slow cooker. Slowly add in the heavy cream, mixing it into the peanut butter until well incorporated.

Stir in the milk, then add in the chocolate.

Heat the mixture on low for 4 hours, or high for 2 hours, stirring occasionally with a wooden spoon.

When ready, pour into your glasses and top with whipped cream and mini chocolate peanut butter cups!

Classic Peanut Butter Blossoms

I always make this recipe with friends at our favorite photographer Larissa's house! She has an annual cookie baking day and this cookie is always one I look forward to making!

  • 1/2 cup peanut butter

  • 1/2 cup butter

  • 1/2 cup sugar

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

  • 1 tsp vanilla

  • 1 egg

  • 1 1/3 cup flour

  • 1 tsp baking soda

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 24 unwrapped Hershey Kisses

Preheat oven to 350.

Cream together peanut butter, butter, sugar and brown sugar until smooth. Add egg and vanilla and beat until smooth.

In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda and salt. Slowly add dry ingredients to the creamed mixture, beating until incorporated.

Roll into 1" (or so) balls and place on cookie sheet several inches apart. This is important because these cookies spread out a lot and can become a giant cookie pizza if you're not careful! Not that we'd hate that or anything...

Bake 12-14 minutes and when finished, pull them out of the oven and immediately place a Hershey Kiss in the center of each cookie.

We hope you enjoy these recipes as much as we do! Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and best wishes for a bright and successful New Year! We'll catch you back on the blog in 2018!

Your peanut butter loving sisters,

Becca + Jenna
