When my sister Becca and I started Peanut Butter Creative (nearly a year an a half ago now... wow!), something that was very important to both of us was figuring out how philanthropy would play a role in our business. We are extremely passionate about helping others, not just from a business standpoint, but rather life in general.
We are excited to announce the month of June as our first annual PBC Philanthropy Month! During the entire month of June, we will be offering new or redesigned logos completely FREE of cost for any registered nonprofit organization. In addition to providing complimentary services to these organizations, we are volunteering our time and resources to local nonprofits that are close to our hearts.
1. The Tennyson Center for Children: a Colorado-based nonprofit "empowering children who have experienced abuse, neglect and trauma to bravely and safely change their life's story." We're volunteering at The Tennyson Center's annual wine tasting event, Corks for a Cause - to help raise money for the deserving families and children of the center. The event is Thursday, June 22nd at 5:30 pm at the Blanc Event Center in Denver. If you or your business is interested in drinking great wine for a great cause, you can get your tickets or donate here - we'd love to see you there!
2. The Wild Animal Sanctuary: a Colorado-based nonprofit with a mission to "prevent and alleviate cruelty to animals which are abandoned or were subject to deprivation or neglect, by providing care and boarding and also to rescue and provide life-long homes for large, exotic and endangered captive wild animals and to educate the public about the causes of and solutions to the world’s captive wildlife crisis." We've got something up our sleeve to help out this amazing nonprofit - stay tuned!
3. The Fetal Health Foundation: a Colorado-based nonprofit "providing resources and hope for families and parents dealing with a fetal health diagnosis." Last year, we donated and participated in The Great Candy Run, a 5K dedicated to raising awareness and hope for babies diagnosed with fetal syndromes. We're excited to participate in this run again later this year!
One of our business goals is to be active members of our community and we think that lending a hand to those who help others is a great way to do that!
